We meet every Wednesday at Eversholt Village Hall at 7.30pm and the meetings usually finish at 9pm, although we usually go to the pub afterwards.
We also have meetings away from the hall when we visit somewhere or do activities, but if you can't drive don't worry: you can always get lifts with other members by texting the Woburn phone.
Once a month is a county meeting rather than a club meeting so then we meet up with the other six clubs in the county.
We like to think of ourselves as the most sociable club in the county with weekly meetings, fortnightly socials and regular parties. We're also one of the most competitive so be prepared to throw yourself (or be thrown) into everything we do!
The club is run by the committee which is made up of members of all ages. This is chaired by Clare Morton so she runs the meetings and organizes us all. Even if you're not part of the committee your opinions are still heard, but the committee changes every year so there's always the chance to get involved with the running of the club.
Every year there are annual competitions between clubs which include summer/winter sports, drama, tug of war, pub quiz, equine, gun dog handling, public speaking and many more. The annual county highlight is the YFC county rally which is a huge event in May with about 5000 visitors! You can see more about county level by visiting the Beds YFC Webpage.
Our year goes from September to July, however the socials continue all summer. You are welcome to join whenever in the year, you don't have to wait until September.
There is a small membership fee to be paid annualy which is £25 for juniors (under 18) and £30 for seniors which covers the cost of meetings, outings and insurance.
